A particular feature of Amboseli is the possibility to take picture postcard photos of elephants against the backdrop of Kilimanjaro. Lunch at the lodge. DAY 4 AMBOSELI · TSAVO EAST

Breakfast. Drive from Amboseli to Tsavo East. Approximate journey time 4,5 hours. Picnic lunch. Afternoon safari in Tsavo East aboard your vehicle. Part of Tsavo National Park (the largest park in Kenya, 20,812 km²),
Tsavo East is separated from the western part of the park by the railway connecting Nairobi to Mombasa. There is currently no fence between the two parks, allowing animals to move freely from place to place. At the same distance from Nairobi and Mombasa, Tsavo East (11,747 km²) is the larger of the two parks making up the Tsavo. Its desert and flat landscapes, except for the Yatta plateau (one of the longest lava flows in the world coming from the extinct volcano Ol Donyo Sabuk), will allow you to discover richness of the fauna. You may observe Grant’s gazelles, zebras, impalas, Coke’s hartebeest, giraffes and even lions. Elephants and buffaloes are common and often grouped in large herds. Dinner at the lodge. (B/L/D)
