Best known for its two A-list UNESCO World Heritage Sites, Borobudur and Prambanan; the ancient city of Yogyakarta, known also as Jogjakarta or Jogja – is an excellent base and it is the undoubted cultural capital of Java. DAY 1 YOGYAKARTA – PRAMBANAN - YOGYAKARTA
Upon arrival at Yogyakarta airport, you will be met by the tour guide and transferred directly to vist the compound of Prambanan Temple, Java’s most interesting Hindu shrine. As the largest Hindu temple in Southeast Asia, the beautiful and graceful temple of Prambanan is a magnificent spectacle and an icon of Indonesia’s cultural heritage. Located not far from the Buddhist Borobudur temple, the proximity of the two temples tells us that on Java, Buddhism and Hinduism lived peacefully next to one another. Afterwards, experience a Becak ride in the streets of Yogyakarta. Evening at leisure.

DAY 2 YOGYAKARTA CITY TOUR
After breakfast, a full day city tour will include the 18th century Sultanate’s palace of Kraton Ngayogyakarta Hadiningrat and the former royal garden of the Sultanate Tamansari Water Castle. Proceed to visit a Batik workshop to see the making process of this famous fabric and to try your skill in making your own piece of batik. After an authentic Javanese lunch, continue to see silver jewelry in the making and proceed to explore famous Malioboro Street on foot, a great place for souvenirs. Transfer back to hotel. (B/L)
DAY 3 YOGYAKARTA - BOROBUDUR TEMPLE - YOGYAKARTA
This morning, a tour will take you to the splendid Borobudur temple, one of the world’s most famous temples, the largest and most complete ensemble of Buddhist reliefs in the world.
Continue to the village of Candirejo for a village tour on a delman (horse carriage) – the means of transportation dominantly used by the locals. Witness the daily life of the locals, the Javanese traditional houses, try some local snacks and explore. After lunch, transfer back to your hotel and evening at leisure. (B/L)
DAY 4 YOGYAKARTA
Transfer to Yogyakarta airport. End of services. (B)
